Objective:
Banga Beats the Bangalore franchise in the inaugural Indian Badminton League 2013 to establish a connect with Bangaloreans and Badminton lovers
In the dynamic and fast paced match environment providing on-the-go live updates
Channels:
Facebook page – Central platform for the major activity and engagement with target audience
Twitter, YouTube, Google+ – Other social media platforms for cross sharing and extended visibility on the digital space. YouTube Channel for video feeds, players interviews and other audio-visual capsules
Implementation:
The entire campaign saw over 360 variety posts across Facebook, Twitter, Youtube, Google+ to establish a connect with the target audience that had a connect with Bangalore and Badminton
During 15 tournament days of IBL 2013, the activity was taken at a much higher level with live posting and updates during the matches
The variety of posts were aimed interactivity and engagement with the audience through gamification, quizzes and contests and info bites on Badminton, the team and its players. The communication was made to be infotainment for the audience
Campaign was highly successful in establishing a connect with the fans as we got 21,755 Likes on the Facebook page while other platforms too saw a lot fans associating and regularly engaging with the team
